Getting there

EYE is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. EYE is a 45 minute drive from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Route description to EYE.

IJpromenade 1
1031 KT Amsterdam

Route by car

Many navigation systems (still) have trouble finding the 'IJpromenade', so it is better to enter 'Tolhuisweg 5' as your destination. EYE can be reached via the IJtunnel and via the A10 ring road. From these roads:

- Take exit S116 in the direction of S118 via Johan Hasseltweg
- At Mosplein, turn left onto Van der Pekstraat
- Van der Pekstraat becomes Buiksloterweg
- Take the first right onto Tolhuisweg
- Once on Tolhuisweg, take the second left, where you will find a car park (unguarded, €1.00 per half hour)

Public transport

Visitors using public transportation should take the train to Amsterdam Central. Plan your trip here. On arrival at Amsterdam Central station, take the exit on the north side, from where you can see the EYE building. From there, take the free 'Buiksloterweg' ferry across the IJ harbour.

Directly behind the EYE building is a (paid) parking area with space for about 200 cars. Parking costs €1.00 per half hour. The car park at EYE is not guarded, so do not leave any valuables in your car..
